A subscription, a credit balance, and a spending cap answer different questions: which plan the organization uses, how platform usage is funded, and how much work it may admit.

Credit types

Expiring credits are consumed before permanent credits. Unused monthly credits do not roll over into a permanent balance. Check Settings → Billing for your organization’s current plan, package terms, balances, and renewal dates.

Subscriptions and seats

Core and Pro are organization plans: one organization has one tier, and eligible credits are pooled for the agents it owns. A person’s membership in several workspaces does not require a separate organization seat for each workspace. Seats do not grant workspace or resource access. An annual seat subscription can still grant credits monthly. Credit renewal follows the subscription’s monthly anniversary rather than waiting for the next annual invoice. Membership and plan changes can affect future billing or grants. Review the displayed effective date and proration before confirming a change.

Monthly packages and permanent purchases

A monthly credit package is separate from a one-time credit purchase. Its initial payment and credit grant may be prorated to the remaining credit period, and its credits expire at the displayed boundary. Cancelling the package stops future renewal; it does not extend the current credits’ expiration. Cancelling a subscription does not erase permanent purchased or welcome credits. Current eligibility and amounts are shown in Billing. A displayed credit balance is distinct from the spending caps that can also stop work.

Bring your own key

BYOK connects a supported model-provider account so that confirmed model usage is paid through that provider account. Anthropic and OpenAI keys are connected through Settings → Integrations. These are organization model-billing credentials, not workspace integration resources. They do not need a workspace attachment or agent resource membership. A key for one provider does not route other providers’ models through it.

BYOK costs and platform credits

For confirmed customer-paid BYOK model usage:
  • The provider bills the customer account.
  • Those tokens deduct no platform credits and receive no platform token markup.
  • Reported provider cost still counts toward applicable organization/workspace caps and finite agent allocations.
  • Sandbox compute remains billed by the platform.
Usage displays identify the BYOK portion. “Counts toward spending” and “deducts platform credits” are therefore not interchangeable.

Eligibility and connection failures

BYOK currently requires an active or trialing Pro or Enterprise plan. A scheduled cancellation retains eligibility while the subscription remains active. If eligibility ends or credential routing fails, requests for a connected provider pause rather than silently switching to platform billing. The connection can remain visible and removable. Explicitly disconnecting the provider key restores platform routing, subject to normal credit and access checks. A successful connection verifies authentication, not unlimited quota or access to every model. Provider limits and account permissions still apply.

Two different calendars

Monthly spend caps reset on UTC calendar-month boundaries. Monthly credits expire and renew on the subscription’s credit anniversary. Check both dates when diagnosing a paused agent: renewing credits does not necessarily reset a calendar-month spending cap, and a cap reset does not create additional credits.

Automatic credit reload

On an eligible paid plan, automatic reload purchases the amount needed to bring the balance up to your selected target when the balance reaches the trigger threshold. For example, “Top up to USD 100 when the balance drops to USD 20” means a purchase of approximately USD 80 at that threshold, rather than a fixed USD 100 purchase. The actual amount depends on the balance when the reload runs. The target must be at least USD 5 above the threshold and cannot exceed USD 25,000. Turn automatic reload off to stop future automatic purchases. This control is separate from your recurring subscription and spending caps.
