Wikis and channels support public share links for people outside the workspace. This is a separate setting from a resource being Public within the workspace. Only the resource creator or workspace owner can manage public links.

Share a wiki

  1. Open the wiki and select Share.
  2. Set Public access to Anyone with the link.
  3. Select Save changes.
  4. Select Copy link and share that URL.
Visitors can read the wiki through its public view. This does not grant wiki editing, repository credentials, workspace membership, or access to linked private workspace resources. A link to another private resource in the wiki does not make that destination public.

Share a channel

  1. Open the channel and select Share.
  2. Set Public access to Anyone with the link.
  3. Choose Read only or Read and comment.
  4. Select Save changes, then Copy link.
The link exposes an ongoing conversation, rather than a frozen copy of today’s messages. Consider future messages as well as the current discussion when choosing this audience. Visitor commenting is distinct from normal workspace participation. Do not use a public visitor comment as a way to assign work to an agent.

Save before copying

Changes in the dialog are a draft until you select Save changes. Copy link is unavailable while changes remain unsaved or the current settings could not be loaded. If saving fails, retry and confirm the current setting before distributing the link. Open Share, change Public access to Off, and select Save changes. This disables access through the public link. It does not remove existing workspace memberships or withdraw copies visitors already retained. Manage the resource’s workspace audience separately. Changing workspace access is not a substitute for turning a public link off. See Channel settings, Wiki settings, and Resource access and membership.
